"The earth won’t fall off its axis if I don't tweet, post, Facebook"I did it I disconnected for 25 hours and it was one amazing experience I want to do again but for a longer time. I disconnected from something and reconnected to another thing :)

I went offline! It wasn’t really a plan. It just came to me and I challenged myself and did it .. The online life is a part of my life I never thought about being online or off, unplugging or plugging in to technology but yesterday I did. Yes the internet allowed me to communicate with anyone and introduced me to a lot of lovely people but there is much to be lived with family, friends, and even strangers. I disconnected in order to really connect with them.
I learnt that the more time we spend online, the less in touch we become with reality. Yes its good to youtube, and tweet about topics and issues but there’s nothing like actually seating with friends to eat and talk.
Life is interesting viewed from a camera lens but if you don’t get out from behind the camera, you may risk becoming a chronicler of your life and not living it and I don't want that .. Yes I did feel guilty somehow where neither facebook or twitter knew where I was it was like I was ignoring a family member. After a couple of hours felt it was such a release. Typing, chatting, instant-messaging, twittering, blogging, facebooking and BBMing at some point we have to let go of them and start to smile and laugh out loud in front of random people. Tell a story to a stranger. Life is too short to spend most of it online.
So here is what I did:
When I told my friends that I will disconnect they were all shocked and one said "OMG!!! NO the Queen of social media disconnects!!!!" will leave you with the pix

Most things online will stay there for a while, but real life is constantly moving forward and there is absolutely no way to live anything twice.

So here is what I did:

- Had my coffee on the roof (the weather was amazing)
- I shot hoops
- I watched TV
- Sat with my family
- Went to my grandma's house and spent time with the kids
